Yo. Been a few since I’ve last said anything of my vacation. Not much has really happened, I mean I don’t anything to say that would make for a great summer comedy movie. More of a dialogue heavy slice of life, movie akin to a toned down version of a Kevin Smith flick or maybe more like Apatow. “A friend a day keeps the boredom away.” Excuse me for quoting myself but I tend to keep saying that to myself since it pretty much turned out that way. Daily I would meet up with one of my good friends and catch up on what’s been going on with their lives. I’ve also been doing A LOT of walking lately. Originally before I left for to go back and live in America, I would walk everywhere. Walk from to school or even from home to the downtown area. Now though, I mean I still can but I have to pace myself a bit. One of my favorite things to do currently which I wasn’t able to do previously due to my family’s “overprotective-ness” of me is walk around town at night. It’s actually very centering and somewhat therapeutic for me. Feeling like I have the whole town to myself and nothing in my way to stop me is just something one rarely gets to relish in. Another thing I’ve been doing lately is catching up with my girlfriend that I quite literally haven’t seen in person for about three years and some change. So the following few pictures will consist of me, her and her nephew who wanted so badly to hang out with us. What can I say, I’m about the same size as a burger joint mascot. Well that’s it for now. I got a few more places to go to, but man I gotta remember to bring my camera with me. In the next few posts I’ll be posting images of the more tourist-y spots in Zamboanga

So what we have here is basically Zamboanga’s version of “Central Park.” I central park because its in the center of the city. Also to note, it’s also right in the middle of the city’s financial district and as a few of my friends have said the black marketHere we have my girlfriend Michie and her nephew AJ in front of the Plaza’s “Dancing fountain.” This thing was only recently fixed and at night (actually I think it’s only during special occasions) is lit up.

Okay now you have me and Michie having dinner out at one of the new restaurants here in Zamboanga called Gerry’s Grill. I believe there are a few locations in America. I remember going to one in Cali with my ma and aunt.
For desert we had the country’s most well known icy confection known as the Halo-Halo. What that literally means is “mix mix,” which pretty much explains what it is. Just a mix of various Pinoy sweets mixed with crushed ice and milk topped off with a scoop of ice cream and a  of chunk leche(milk) flan.
