It is with great pleasure that I would like to announce the first NUReviews Plays special, BatWeek.  Read the details after the break, but first, a promo trailer:

BatWeek is the first “special” that we at NUReviews are going to attempt for NUReviews plays.  If you’ve been following along, NUReviews Plays has been consisting, lately, of three video uploads a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with each episode running on average around 30 minutes.  With BatWeek however, we’re taking things up a notch.  We’re not bringing you 3 days of entertainment, no sir/madame, nor are we bringing you 4.  We’re bringing you 5 straight days of entertainment, more specifically, 5 straight days of NUReviews Plays Batman: Arkham Origins, kicking off Monday with a special 1 hour long episode where you’ll see first hand the first hour of Batman: Arkham Origins.  After BatWeek is finished, don’t be in despair, because we’ll still be bringing you more Batman: Arkham Origins videos every Monday until we’ve beaten the game.  If you’re a fan of our Wind Waker video’s, they’re not going away, they’re simply being moved to Friday’s where they’ll alternate with the return of NUReviews Plays Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, while on Wednesdays we’ll be bringing you 100% completion runs of the Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon PS1 games along with other videos.  Everything starts off next Monday, October 28th, so be sure to subscribe to the NUReviews youtube channel for when the videos get uploaded.

We’re doing our best to improve our video game controversy podcast, “C’mon, Step it Up”. But we’ll need your help. If you can spare us even just a few minutes of your time, please listen to a bit of our videos and give us some critique or suggestions for improvement. Thank you.

Edit: My editor told me I need to elaborate more, because apparently one word doesn’t make an article. Anyways, MAGfest is up for its eleventh get together in the general DC area. If you don’t know what MAGfest is, it’s a big festival for fans of video games and music. There’s going to be shows, panels, concerts, tournaments and oodles of other neat events. Some notable people that you may know are going to be there:  Yuzo Koshiro and Kinuyo Yamashita (composers for Shenmue and Castlevania respectively), James Rolfe (Anger Video Game Nerd), Brent Black (brentalfloss), Arin “Egoraptor” Hanson and Jon “Jontron” Jafari (Game Grumps) and so much more. You can see the whole list of guests here.

Also, along with the guest, there’ll be bands and performers as well, which you can check out here. The band which I’m particularly excited for are the The Protomen, who have rock opera concept albums about Mega Man. ‘Nuff said.

You can see more information about MAGfest at
Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center
201 Waterfront Street
National Harbor, MD 20745
Jan 3 – 6, 2013 (Thu – Sun)

Edit: The editor just told me that people from NUReviews will be there as well. So, for whatever reason, you want to so hi to us, just look for the guy with the big head and a short guy. If there’s anything you want us to do, like recording panels or concerts, or try to get an interview, we’ll see what we can do.
