Ducktales Remastered Trailer Sing Along (Woo-oo)

Yup. A sing-a-long trailer. Enjoy having that theme song stuck in your head for a while. WayForward Technologies, the guys that brought you Might Switch Force and the recent Adventure Time game, are taking Capcom’s NES platformer classic and giving it an major facelift. Maybe this is inspire developers to actuallty put enough into licensed games. Although it would be great to see some new, quality games rather than franchise games or remakes/HD remasters (I’m looking at you, Squeenix). But I digress; revisiting Duckburg after all of these years would be nice.

Ducktales Remastered will be released in Summer 2013 for the Wii U eShop, Playstation Network, and Xbox Live Arcade for $15.

Want More DLC? Why Not Blade Wolf?

It’s been announced that, in addition to the VR mission DLC which are currently free for all PS3 owners, Metal Gear Revengeance will be getting two more DLCs this april.  One will involve a short side story were we play as Jetstream ‘Shit-Eating-Grin’ Sam, and another that gives players direct control over Blade Wolf, something I was hoping would happen the moment I saw the adorable, Zoid-like death machine.  Both DLCs will be priced at $7 for the PS3 and whatever the $7 equivalent of microsoft points are for the 360.

But the DLC fun doesn’t end there, for owners of the wildly popular Fire Emblem: Awakening will be able to be getting free downloadable maps via the 3DS’s SpotPass feature.  Today you’ll be able to get a map called “A Hard Miracle”, which by the title, sounds pretty hard.  You’ll also be able to pick up the “Ghost of Blade” map on March 28th, “The Wellspring of Truth” map on April 11th, and “The Radiant Hero” map on April 25th, which will bring your super buff army in contact with “a legendary hero”.  Though if you’re me, none of these maps should pose any problems when your party is lead by demon lord Donnel, that guy’s unkillable.  The SpotPass feature also brings you goodies such as free weapons and armies to battle against on the world map, so be sure to check it out under the Bonus Box section of the in-game menu.

The Walking Dead Season 2 Shambling Along Later This Year

Joystiq has reported that season 2 of the award winning The Walking Dead game by Telltale games is scheduled to start in the fall of 2013.  Also, while it’s not known exactly what it is now, Gary Whitta, a writer for the game, revealed a special something extra for fans before the second season starts.  Telltale CEO Dan Conners states “We’ll probably have something to announce fairly soon about what we’re going to do. It’ll be different.”  The game is likely to release on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, next gen console releases are not confirmed at this time.  Besides that, nothing is really known about what season 2 will bring, but hopefully if Kenny returns, he’s less of an ass hole this time around.

Embrace Your Turtle Power This Summer

Activision has released a trailer for a downloadable game they have planned for this summer based off of the beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise.  Now some might be wondering which continuity the game is based off of, especially with what seems to be a lot of love from the media world focusing on the series lately.  Luckily it looks to be based off of the currently running Nickelodeon series instead of the known Micheal Bay film (evident by the nickelodeon logo at the end of the trailer, and the fact that they’re actually mutants, not aliens, and Megan Fox is thankfully no where to be seen), however the graphics are much more realistic than cartoonish, so I’m really only venturing a guess there.  It is possible that the only reason the nickelodeon logo is there is because nick currently holds the rights to TMNT.  The game seems to be a sort of 3D action game ala Batman’s Arkham series, though likely with much less content considering it appears to be download only, and also is apparently the first of a three game deal with Activision.  The game will be released on PSN, XBLA and PC this summer and feature online 4 player co-op.

Commander Video Is On The Run Again In Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien [UPDATE]

The team behind the Bit.Trip games are back, and this time, they’re bringing the more “action packed” of their games a brand new coat of paint.  Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien finds Commander Video running through brand new worlds with brand new obstacles in shiny, brand new graphics.  Besides the new obstacles, the game play seems to be essentially the same as the first game, so if you were a fan then you have nothing to fear but the unknown (and the ever present knowledge of just how many times you’re going to have to restart a level).  This time around, Runner2 will be released on a smorgasbord of systems, practically everything from the Wii U to iOS to the PSVita, though not all will be released at the same time.  You’ll be able to pick it up on all versions of Steam and the Wii U today, on XBLA Wednesday, and on the PSN (this includes both PS3 and Vita) and iOS March 5th, sadly however if you were hoping to get it on your 3DS or Android, the cards are just not in your favor.  No matter where you buy it, the game will be $14.99.

[UPDATE]: When the game comes out on PSN on March 5th, if you’re PS+ member you’ll be getting it for 20% the retail price.  Unfortunately the game will not feature cross buy regardless of subscription status, so you will need to choose between getting it on PS3 and PSVita, unless you buy it on both, but really all you’d need it on is the portable system in my opinion.
