Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Videos Ups the Cray Cray




Two new game videos were released today for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. The first video shows off a fight against a gorilla based enemy. What interest is that the enemy’s moveset changes whenever you cut off a limb. If the enemy loses an arm, it’ll try to get Raiden into a headlock. If the enemy loses both arms, it gonna dropkick your ass. Also, an old friend returns, and just in time for Cinco de Mayo it seems.

We get to see a Metal Gear Ray  boss battle in the second video. It seems like the strategy is to avoid missile and laser blasts (very Godzilla like) while trying to cut off pieces of armor and limbs. The slow down sword frenzy mode looks to be crucial. There are a few quick time events, but nothing too extreme, meaning that the game won’t play itself.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be released on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in the US on February 19, 2013.

Kojima Productions LA Working On New ‘Metal Gear Online’


My apologies for not finding this out sooner. But it turns out at Eurogamer Expo, Hideo Kojima confirmed that his new studio in Los Angeles, Kojima Productions LA, are currently working on the next iteration of Metal Gear Online. No word if this will be part of “Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes’, although it seems like a safe bet to assume so.

METAL GEAR RISING REVENGEANCE – TGS 2012 TRAILER


It only gets crazier and crazier for Raiden. In this new trailer, you see him deal with some new baddies. It’s rather ‘eye-popping’. But thankfully, Raiden gets to show off some of his new abilities as well, such as drone telepathy.

Metal Gear Rising Revengeance will be released in North America on February 19, 2013.

Metal Gear Movie Confirmed


So the Metal Gear 25th Anniversary special  event just happened in Japan and with that a few announcements in regards to everyone’s “Tactical Espionage Action” game franchise. First on the list is a new Metal Gear Solid game called: Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes. Not much has been said about the game other than it is an open world game taking place in the Metal Gear universe and it will also debut the new Fox Engine that Kojima Productions originally intended to be used for the recently revamped Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

Now onto something more astonishing than another game announcement, apparently a Metal Gear film will be made. During the special event, Kojima himself got on stage and announced the movie to be in the making naming producer Avi Arad( producers of The Amazing Spider-man and several other Marvel films) in collaboration with Columbia Pictures. Not much else has been released, but here’s hoping voice actor David Hayter will be involved just so that we can finally hear that manly voice say “ugh….METAL GEAR!” on the silver screen.

METAL GEAR (Solid 5 Confirmed [ ! ])


I would be surprised, but that’s what Hideo Kojima would want me to act. MGS 2 supposed to be the last game? Nope, gotta make room for MGS 3 (don’t get me wrong, it’s my favorite MGS game). Then MGS 4 came along. “But wait, MGS 3 was supposed to be the last game!” Kojima: “Nope, but don’t worry, this is the last one, PROMISE.”

4 years later, Kojima provides proof that he has a bad memory. Or Konami needs some money, and Kojima is hooking a brotha up.

In an interview with French Gaming Magazine “IG”. Kojima has stated the following

“…there will be a Metal Gear Solid 5 with the new FOX Engine”.
“About Metal Gear Solid 5, I can tell you two things. There will be much question of infiltration, espionage, and convincing people to give you ‘a favour’ like in the last Metal Gear Solid.”

It seems that Kojima may throw in some aspects of another certain game with stealth elements.

“I liked the idea of social interactions in Deus Ex: Human Revolution, but we will see. And if I say more, the female ninja public relations officer, who is behind the door, I will be carved up into pieces. So it’s better that we meet again when the time comes to talk about Metal Gear Solid 5.”

He goes on to confirmed that Solid Snake will get out of retirement once again to return for this game (that is if this game isn’t a prequel).

“Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance never claimed to be a Metal Gear Solid. This is not a game about our beloved Solid Snake. It is a spinoff that tries something different. We have not yet finished with Solid Snake, despite the fact that I wanted to let him die at the end of Guns of the Patriots.”
