A site called DarkZero has discovered that by navigating to the AC4 web page and placing the letter “v” at the end of the url, the above image is displayed. This shows us not only the release date for Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag but also that it will be coming to next gen consoles. That means that not only can you expect it on the PC, PS3, Xbox, and Wii U, but now you can expect to have the option to get it on the PS4 and the NextBox(not an official name, mind you). With the franchise’s arguable decline in quality over the yearly iterations, one has to wonder if it’ll be worth adding to your next gen library, or any library for that matter.
Ubisoft has just announced the next addition to the Assassins Creed franchise, and there be no side games this time for the scurvy ridden franchise. Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag will be introducing a new protagonist this time around, possibly taking place not too long after the events of the third game, still in colonial times but with a little more piracy running rampant. Not much information is known about the game yet, but it can be inferred that the game will (hopefully) feature more of the naval combat from Assassins Creed 3, one of the redeeming features about that game in this guy’s opinion. The game will be released for PC, PS3, Xbox360 and Wii U, but no release date is known yet.
